Mural Mice artists began painting with a mighty team of Haven Montessori School students in May 2018. Unfortunately, they had a false start when the existing paint on the wall repelled their mural paint. After two weeks of consistant painting, the students were informed that the mural would be removed and repainted with Summer school students. The wall was stripped and construction resumes throughout June 2018. The theme of the mural spotlights nature and some of the Pueblo Vieja neighborhood history. The project is entirely student driven and Mural Mice artists are simply there to assist their vision for a brighter playground. The school is located at 621 W. Clay Ave. in Flagstaff, right behind Natural Grocers off Milton. The Haven mural will be completed by July 2018. The project is sponsored by the Flagstaff Beautification and Public Art Commission (BPAC) with BBB funds.
